Locate My Software Key and Version in the Software

If you purchased an individual license subscription for Snagit or Camtasia, you will not receive a software key. Sign in to the product with the email address used during purchase.

 

 Snagit (Windows)

Snagit 2023 and later

  1. Open Snagit Editor.
  2. Select Help > About Snagit.

  3. In the About Snagit window, you can view your software Version and Software Key (25 characters comprised of letters and numbers).

Snagit previous versions

Snagit 13, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022:

  1. Open Snagit Editor.
  2. Select Help > About Snagit.

  3. In the About Snagit window, you can view your software Version.

  4. Click Support Information.

  5. Scroll down a few lines until you locate the Registration Key (25 characters comprised of letters and numbers).

Snagit 12:

  1. Open Snagit Editor.
  2. Select File > Help > About Snagit > Support Information.
  3. In the top line, you can view your software version.
  4. Scroll down a few lines until you locate the Registration Key (25 characters comprised of letters and numbers).

Snagit 11 or previous versions:

  1. Open Snagit Capture.
  2. Select Help > Support.
  3. In the top line, you can view your software version.
  4. Scroll down a few lines until you locate the Registration Key (25 characters comprised of letters and numbers).

 Snagit (Mac)

Snagit 3 and later

  1. Open Snagit.
  2. Select Snagit > About Snagit.

 Camtasia (Windows)

Camtasia 2022 and later

  1. Open Camtasia.
  2. Select Help > About Camtasia.

  1. Open Camtasia.
  2. Select Help > Technical Support.

  3. In the top line, you can view your software version.
  4. Scroll down a few lines until you locate the Registration Key (25 characters comprised of letters and numbers).

 Camtasia (Mac)

Camtasia 2022 and later

  1. Open Camtasia.
  2. Select Help > About Camtasia.

  2. Select Camtasia > Activate.
  3. You can view your software version and key (25 characters comprised of letters and numbers).
