If you decide to purchase, there is no need to download and install Camtasia Editor again—instead, simply unlock the trial with your software key. If you've purchased an individual license subscription of Camtasia Editor or a Camtasia plan (Camtasia Essentials, Camtasia Create, or Camtasia Pro) you'll just need to sign-in to unlock.

- Open Camtasia Editor.

Sign in to your TechSmith account using the email that you purchased the Camtasia Editor subscription with.
If you do not have a TechSmith account, choose the “Forgot password" option. Using the email address you purchased the subscription with, you’ll go through the password reset workflow. - Your Camtasia Editor subscription is activated.

Unlock a new install/reinstall
- Open Camtasia Editor.
- In the Camtasia Editor trial dialog, click Enter Software Key.
- Enter your software key and click Unlock Camtasia.
Unlock an active trial
- Open Camtasia Editor.
- From Camtasia Editor Home, click Enter Software Key.
- Enter your software key and click Unlock Camtasia.
Unlock in Camtasia Editor
- In Camtasia Editor, select an option from the Export menu.
- Enter your key into the Enter Key field and then click Produce without watermark.
Legacy renewals (formerly maintenance)

- If you are running the latest Camtasia Editor version, you do not need to take any action – just keep using your current key.
- If you are not running the current version, download the software and enter your new key to get started.
