Where can I find TechSmith’s W-9?
Access and download our W-9 by clicking this link: https://www.techsmith.com/w9.pdf
Am I eligible for the education discount?
The education discounted rate is available to full-time students, staff, and faculty members of K-12 and higher education institutions who will be using the software for an educational purpose.
If you are teaching or training someone in your role but you aren’t in a school, college, or university environment, unfortunately, you would not qualify for the discount.
If you are still unsure, read through the full qualifications on our website.
Is this a one time fee?
When you purchase TechSmith software, it’s a one-time fee, and you’ll permanently own the version of the program that you purchased. Updates are included in the license price, but major release upgrades are not. If you’d like to purchase an upgrade for your license when a newer version is released, those are available for half the cost of a new license. You can view current pricing by visiting our online store.
We do offer and recommend optional software maintenance. If you are covered under an active maintenance agreement when a new version is released, then you’d receive the upgrade for no additional charge. Stay covered under active maintenance, and you’ll always be running the latest and greatest version of the program! You can learn more about our maintenance agreement program by visiting this link: https://www.techsmith.com/maintenance.html
Can I install on 2 machines?
You can install your license on up to 2 computers for your use—a desktop and a laptop, or at home and at work, as an example.
If your computer crashes or you get a new machine, you can reinstall the version that you purchased, as long as you don’t have the program installed on more than 2 computers at a time.
