This article explains how to contact our sales team and what information to provide if you do not have a multi-seat subscription and would like to get one.
If you need a one-seat subscription for a cloud product, or are looking to purchase TechSmith Snagit or Camtasia licenses, please visit our online store.
Licenses vs. Subscriptions
Before we dive into multi-seat subscriptions, let’s figure out what they are compared to licenses and one-seat subscriptions.
Perpetually licensed products
Snagit and Camtasia are our perpetually licensed products: you purchase a license once and use it forever. To purchase a license, visit our online store or contact Sales.
To manage your licenses and maintenances, visit myaccount.techsmith.com or manage.techsmith.com.
Subscription-based products
Our other products are available on a subscription basis: buy a product for a month or year, and then renew.
If you want to purchase any of our subscription-based products for one user, we call this a one-seat subscription, and you can purchase it at the online store. You can then manage your one-seat subscription at myaccount.techsmith.com or manage.techsmith.com. |
If two or more persons will be using a subscription-based product, we call this a multi-seat subscription, and to purchase it, you need to contact Sales. We will ask you to provide product details, information for creating an account, and your payment method details. For more details, expand the steps 1 and 2 below. After you purchase a multi-seat subscription, you can visit manage.techsmith.com to assign seats to end users, update your subscription, and more. |
Purchase My First Multi-Seat Subscription
To purchase a multi-seat subscription, you need to contact our Sales team and provide the following information:
- Details of the products you would like to purchase.
- Information for creating your account.
- Your payment method details.
When you contact Sales to get a multi-seat subscription, you need to provide the details of the products you would like to purchase and information for creating your account.

Our team calculates the total for each product. To calculate the tax amount and order total, we need to create your account first. A subscription cannot contain both yearly and monthly products. Next, our Sales team needs to add a payment method and complete the purchase on your behalf.
Order total for your multi-seat products is calculated, and your account for multi-seat subscriptions is ready—we are almost done. To complete the purchase on your behalf, we will ask which payment method you prefer.
If you are purchasing a yearly multi-seat subscription, you can pay with a credit card, check, or wire transfer. For monthly multi-seat subscriptions, we accept credit cards only.
If you choose to pay with a credit card
For multi-seat subscriptions, we accept the following credit card types:
- American Express
- Discover
- MasterCard
- Visa
Please provide credit card information: number, expiration date, CVV code, and cardholder details (name, email, and street address). Our team adds the card to your account and confirms the purchase on your behalf.
Your payment is processed immediately, and you can view and manage your subscription at manage.techsmith.com.
If you have a purchase order
Provide the purchase order number to our team. Your subscription is created, and you can view and manage it at manage.techsmith.com.
Your payment is expected within 30 days, and you can make it with:
- Check/wire transfer
- Credit card

Check/wire transfer If you used a purchase order and would like to pay with a check or wire transfer, open the order confirmation email sent to your billing email address. PDF copy of the invoice should be attached to the email, and after you open the file, you can view the instructions on how to make a check or wire transfer. If you cannot find an order confirmation email, you can download the invoice or resend the email. For this, visit manage.techsmith.com and sign in to your TechSmith account. Then select Direct orders > Invoices, open the invoice page, and click Download or Send by email. Open the PDF copy of the invoice and follow the instructions for making the payment with a check or wire transfer. Credit card If you used a purchase order and would like to pay with a credit card, visit manage.techsmith.com > Direct orders > Subscriptions. Add a credit card: you need to enter its number, expiration date, CVV code, and cardholder details. Then select Invoices, open the invoice page, click Pay with card, and select the added card. Manage My Multi-Seat Subscription
After your multi-seat subscription is created, visit manage.techsmith.com to:
- Assign the purchased seats to end users by yourself. Or, add seat managers who will assign the seats.
- Transfer the subscription to a new owner.
