View an Invoice
After each multi-seat purchase, at your billing email address, you receive an order confirmation email with the PDF copy of the invoice.
If you cannot find that email, at manage.techsmith.com, you can resend it to any email address or download the invoice to your device:
- Visit manage.techsmith.com and sign in to your TechSmith account.
- Select Direct orders > Invoices > All invoices.
- Click the invoice number to view more details.
- Do one of the following:
- Send the PDF copy of the invoice by email to yourself or anyone else.
- Download the PDF copy of the invoice to your device.
Depending on the payment method that you used to make the purchase (credit card or purchase order), the PDF version of the invoice contains different information:
|
Invoice for a PO purchase Invoice contains order summary and instructions for making a payment via a check or wire transfer (ACH). Invoice balance shows the amount to be paid. See the attachment at the bottom of the page: Invoice_sample_PO_purchase_unpaid.pdf. After you make the payment with a check or wire transfer, you receive another copy of the invoice. In this copy, the invoice balance shows "PAID". See the attachment at the bottom of the page: Invoice_sample_PO_purchase_paid.pdf. |
|
Invoice for a credit card purchase Invoice contains order summary. Invoice balance shows "PAID", and four last digits of the credit card are provided. See the attachment at the bottom of the page: Invoice_sample_credit_card_purchase.pdf. |
In manage.techsmith.com > Direct orders > Invoices, you can view all invoices associated with your multi-seat purchases.
You may have an unpaid invoice if:
- You made a purchase with a purchase order but did not make the payment yet.
- Your subscription was auto-renewed but the credit card payment failed.
As a result, in Direct orders > Subscriptions, you can view the corresponding hint: "You have one or more unpaid invoices. Please make sure to pay the invoices until due date".
On the Invoices page, you can view the due date for each invoice. If an invoice is overdue (not paid until the due date), your account may be blocked and product access removed.

- Email confirmation is sent to your billing email address.
If you made a multi-seat purchase with a purchase order, you can also pay an invoice with a credit card. See the Pay with a credit card section in this article.

Frequently Asked Questions
After you made a payment, in Direct orders > Subscriptions, you may still view a hint about an unpaid invoice.
Possible reasons:
- You have other unpaid invoices related to your multi-seat subscriptions.
- We have not received your check or wire transfer yet. As a rule, your payment is processed within 24 hours. If after this time, the invoice status still shows as not paid, please contact our Customer Support team.
When you transfer a multi-seat subscription to a new owner, for security reasons, the new owner cannot view your financial data. This is why all invoices stay with you as the previous owner, even though the subscription already has a new owner.
You cannot transfer a subscription if you have an unpaid invoice, even if that invoice relates to a different subscription than the one being transferred.
To sum up, let's say you purchased three subscriptions with a purchase order. You have an unpaid invoice related to subscription #1, while subscriptions #2 and 3 are paid. Until that invoice is paid, you cannot initiate transfer for any of the three subscriptions.
