You can purchase your multi-seat subscription via our Sales team, and then get more products and seats by yourself in manage.techsmith.com > Direct orders.

An invoice is generated every time when you make a multi-seat purchase:

  • Sales team creates your subscription.
  • You or the Sales team purchase additional products or seats.
  • Your subscription is auto-renewed.
  • You or the Sales team renew the subscription early or after it expires.

Depending on your primary payment method—credit card or purchase order—a payment for a multi-seat purchase may be overdue in different cases. Expand a section below for more details.

When you make a multi-seat purchase with a purchase order, according to our Terms and Conditions, you need to make the payment until the invoice due date (as a rule, within 30 days). For example, if you placed an order on September 13, 2021, the invoice due date is October 12, 2021.

After the purchase, in manage.techsmith.com > Direct orders > Subscriptions, a hint about an unpaid invoice appears, and you can use it to view the invoice details.

in direct orders, on the subscription page, you can view a hint saying that you have one or more unpaid invoices, and to please pay them until their due date

You can make the payment with a check, wire transfer, or credit card. See (Multi-Seat Subscriptions) View and Pay My Invoices.

in direct orders, on the invoices page, next to all unpaid invoices, you can view the option to pay with card

Five days, and then one day before the due date, we send reminders to your billing email address about an upcoming due date.

If a payment on your invoice is overdue, your multi-seat account becomes blocked.

in direct orders, on the subscription page, above the hint about unpaid invoices, you can view another hint saying that sorry, your account was blocked to prevent new purchases. For more information, please contact the TechSmith team at www.techsmith.com/contact.html

To unblock your multi-seat account, please make the payment as soon as possible. See (Multi-Seat Subscriptions) View and Pay My Invoices.

After you make the payment, your account will be unblocked within 24 hours. If you have any questions, contact our Customer Support team.

When you purchase a monthly or yearly multi-seat subscription with a credit card, you can turn on auto-renewal.

At the start of each new billing month or year (in our example, on March 02, 2021), your subscription is renewed, and the system tries to process the renewal payment on your primary credit card.

in direct orders, on the subscription page, you can view the renewal section that explains if you have auto-renewal on, or if you will need to renew your subscription manually

If the payment attempt fails, an email notification is sent to your billing email address.

Also, in manage.techsmith.com > Direct orders > Subscriptions, a hint about an unpaid invoice appears, and you can use it to view the invoice details.

in direct orders, on the subscription page, you can view a hint saying that you have one or more unpaid invoices, and please make sure to pay the invoices until due date

If your multi-seat account is not blocked yet, do one of the following:

  • Make sure that your primary credit card has sufficient balance.
  • Delete the primary credit card and add it again, making sure that all details are correct.
  • Add another card and set it as primary.

The system makes two more attempts to process your auto-renewal payment, each at a 24-hour interval.

If the third payment attempt fails, the payment on your invoice is considered overdue, and your multi-seat account becomes blocked.

in direct orders, on the subscription page, above the hint about unpaid invoices, you can view another hint saying that sorry, your account was blocked to prevent new purchases. For more information, please contact the TechSmith team at www.techsmith.com/contact.html

To unblock your multi-seat account, please make the payment as soon as possible:

  1. Visit manage.techsmith.com and sign in to your TechSmith account.
  2. Select Direct orders > Subscriptions, and in the Payment method section, add a card to be used for the overdue payment.
  3. Select Invoices > Unpaid invoices.
  4. Next to the overdue invoice, click Pay with card, and then select the card.
in direct orders, on the invoices page, next to all unpaid invoices, you can view the option to pay with card
  5. Confirm that you would like to make the payment.

After the payment is processed, your account is automatically unblocked within 24 hours. If you have any questions, contact our Customer Support team.

Payment for auto-renewing your multi-seat subscription is the only credit card payment that can become overdue.

When you place a different type of order with a credit card (purchase additional products, purchase additional seats, or renew the subscription manually), and your credit card payment fails, the order is not created. See (Multi-Seat Subscriptions) Handle a Credit Card Error.
